spring Residents. I.IV – XII.VI. 2018
"I’m EZMONSTER, an artist. My artwork is mainly drawing and painting.
I have a lot of thoughts. Every thought disappears in a moment. I have bad memory, so I can’t remember many of those thoughts. I want to record those things as my artwork."
Uniquely straddling the doctrines of street art, postmodernism and Arte Povera, Gabriel Dubois’ practice is born out of an innate desire to express and inscribe his heterogeneous life experiences through the formal language of abstraction.
John Graham’s dreamlike scenes are at once psychically challenging and whimsical. His work variously explores surrealism, mythology, and psychology across predominantly filmmaking and printmaking mediums. John used the residency to actively collaborate with local artists on his latest film project.
