Shanghai Mountain. Exhibited at Patyolat, 2019.

Shanghai Mountain is a semi-fictional place where personal mythologies, dreams, and stories go to live their own paracosmic afterlife. Combining imagery and motifs from Appalachian and Eastern European folklore with memory, trauma and magical realism, Shanghai Mountain opens its doors to a world that almost was, and has yet to be.
