Through the Pink Door – A Book of Dreams. Exhibited at Patyolat, 2019.
Through the Pink Door is an amalgamation of fantasy and semi-autobiographical narrative. Inspired by Lewis Caroll’s - Alice in Wonderland, the book plays on the notion that dreams have for eons inspired artists to create. Illustrating dreams borrowed from thirteen artists, it sets about exploring the collective subconscious and the narratives it can weave.

Malaika Sujeet is a comic artist and illustrator who grew up between India and Dubai. She graduated from Falmouth University in 2018 with an MA in Authorial Illustration. Malaika’s comics are confessional in nature, exploring the nature of the self, feelings of alienation, foreignness and insecurity, a misplaced un-identity borne of growing up a Third Culture Kid. She self-publishes her comics and works as a graphic designer and freelance illustrator.
